Do I have to be invited to attend the Old School Skills Camp?
The Old School Skills Camp is designed for young men, rising freshmen through seniors, who aspire to play college basketball. The NCAA only allows restrictions based on number, age, gender, and grade level, so the camp is open to all while space is available. If you are uncertain of your ability to compete with other campers, please have your high school basketball coach reach out to the camp admin at [email protected] to discuss if the camp is the right fit for you.
Do campers receive feedback?
Yes, every camper receives personal feedback of their individual abilities through the Team Genius app. This feedback includes insights from their camp coaches along with dedicated talent evaluators working with the camp.
Are there scholarships or discounts for the Old School Skills Camp?
The NCAA does not allow our camp to provide free or reduced admission to any individual who has started classes for the ninth grade. Outside scholarships may be available through your high school, club, or local civic organizations.

What does a typical day at the Old School Skills Camp look like?
Each day at camp will include 3 important components:
Each camper will be asked to work hard at all times throughout the day and will have additional opportunities for individual instruction from dedicated trainers, coaches, and staff.
All meals are served on campus in close proximity to the gym and are ‘all-you-can-eat.’ While there isn’t much downtime, there are comfortable lounges in the dorm to watch TV, eat pizza, and hang out with other campers at the end of each night’s activities.
Campers are supervised at all times and are encouraged to get to know their coaches and fellow campers.
Is Jay Bilas actively involved in the camp?
While Jay no longer serves in an official capacity, he is committed to remaining active in the camp. Depending on his broadcast schedule, that may involve hands-on camper interactions, coach and leader mentorship, or just stopping by to say hello. Each camper will receive Jay’s autographed “Toughness” book, a staple for aspiring college players and coaches.
